The Brief
Mike Bauer is an independent musician who has received a good deal of exposure despite his indie status. His catchy and friendly songs are both artistic, and still accessible. His second independent album release was going to be very important, because this album was to be pitched to major press and record labels.
The Work
With Mike Bauer being a solo artist, the album artwork would show Mike in various poses which matched the themes of the songs. To make the album more personal and inviting, since he’s still an “Indie” artist, we asked him to write a “Thank You” letter for the album interior, and we placed his signature below it, to add to the personal touch. For the album booklet, Circle Marketing chose to reserve each panel for a different song. This would help each song and lyric stand out on their own, have their own design which matched the overall theme but contained a hint of individuality as well.
The Result
Mike Bauer ran out of the first pressing of the album in the first week of availability. His iTunes sales and other electronic sales continue to escalate as well. Mike is about to press his next run of albums and the sky is the limit for this fledgling star.
